Ireland has become one of the top tourist destinations, thanks to its breathtaking scenery, cultural delights and ancient history. Several tourism agencies are beginning to offer the self-drive tour. You can select from several package deals and tailor a vacation to fit your dream trip. Standard tours hit Ireland’s most popular destinations including Trinity College, Kilmainham Gaol in Dublin, Blarney Castle, Dingle Peninsula, the Cliffs of Moher, the Aran Islands and the most popular attraction, the Megalithic Tombs at Newgrange.
Seasoned visitors to Ireland may not want to visit the standard stops, or new visitors may want to stay clear of the cliché vacation destinations. Keeping that in mind, there are also tours that fit different personalities. Consider a drive yourself tour that leads you into the countryside where you can spend a few days exploring the region and its particular charm. The party traveler will want to sign up for a pub and folk tour, which gives you ample opportunity to sample the local brews while exploring the landscape and small-town warmth that Ireland is known for. Historical tours are available for people interested in the past or perhaps learning a bit more about their own genetic backgrounds.
