You’ll need at least three months of lead time if you’re planning a group trip to Las Vegas.

Hotel rooms

Most major casinos have a group reservations department that can handle booking the rooms for your trip. As with all hotel reservations, be sure to ask for any special accommodations–non-smoking rooms, rollaway beds, etc.–at the time of booking. The group reservation department can arrange for you to pay for the hotel rooms all at once, or provide you with a special group code so that each member of your group can call in and pay for their own room.

Airfare

If the people in your group are traveling from around the country, it may be difficult to book a group rate. Ask the hotel when you are booking the rooms if they offer, or can recommend, an airline that has a package rate.

Remember that rates go up dramatically 21-days prior to departure, and then often increase again at 14-days and 7-days.

Transportation

If all members of your group are arriving in Las Vegas at the same time, you may want to arrange group transportation from the airport to the casino. If your group is 10 people or less, a limousine is most likely cheaper than multiple taxis. For larger groups, consider shuttle services. At Vegas.com, you can book your airport transportation online in advance.

Unless you are staying off the Strip or travelling outside the area while in Vegas, there’s really no need to have rental cars. Driving on the Las Vegas Strip is extremely crowded. So take a taxi, the monorail, public transportation or even walk.

Walking from casino to casino is nice in Las Vegas because you can see the sites and stroll at your leisure.

Activities

Depending on the interest of your group, you may want to book activities such as golf packages, dinner deals, show tickets, local tours or nightclub passes.

Take a survey of your group and find out which type of activities they would like to take part in while in Las Vegas.

Then you can use a website such as LasVegas.com to find the best rate on your preferred activities.
