The Millennium Park in Chicago Illinois is one of the top places to visit when in Chicago. Since its opening in July of 2004 millions of guests have visited Millennium Park for its amazing art and architecture and critically acclaimed free events and concerts. It makes a great travel location for choral and church groups and any music lovers.

The Park hosts over 200 concerts and events during the year, but one of its highlights is the Grant Park Music Festival. From mid June through August the Park hosts several concerts that bring talented guest conductors and musicians to the city to play with the Grammy nominated Grant Park Orchestra and Chorus. In 2007 the city will showcase the talent of more than 2500 artists from Chicago and around the world. They will appear in free concerts and events throughout the summer. The Grant Park Orchestra and Chorus have celebrated over 73 seasons and are presented by Chicago Park District. The Grant Park Music Festival is he nation’s only free, municipally supported outdoor classical musical series. The concert series spotlight composers including Beethoven and Brahms to Bernstein’s Broadway hits.
