Looking for a once in a lifetime spot to travel with a group of friends or parents and children from your neighborhood, why not visit the King Tut Tour now in Philadelphia.

King Tut and his entire entourage will be at the Franklin Institute Science Museum now through September 30th. Due to the popularity of this exhibit the museum has added early morning slots everyday at 8:30 AM. Groups of 15 or more get a discount and priority reservations.

If you were lucky enough to see King Tut during the original 1977 tour this exhibit is brand new with many new pieces. Over 130 pieces from King Tut’s tomb are part of this collection. In addition there are 70 pieces in the exhibit from other tombs and rulers as well. The centerpiece of the exhibit is the golden death mask.

The museum is also featuring several other Egyptian themed exhibits such as “Think Like and Egyptian” specifically geared for school children grades K-12. There are also two Imax movies “Mummies” and “Mysteries of Egypt”. Don’t forget to stop by the gift shop on your way out where you can pick up everything from official King Tut memorabilia, books, and replicas, or everyone’s favorite the King Tut Hat
