If you’re an art buff, looking for a reason to take off to Los Angeles then I’ve got your answer. LA is full of every art genre imaginable. All modern and visually splendid – here are two of my absolute favorite Los Angeles art hot spots:
Museum of Neon Art – or MONA, enjoy the visual wake-up call that is the Museum of Neon Art! That’s right it’s a punch to the eye sockets with electric blue, pint, orange, green, red and basically every color under the electric rainbow. MONA was founded in tribute to electric and kinetic media. Don’t visit LA without a trip though MONA’s stunning collection of neon signs…a true tribute to the 1980s! MONA is located at 501 W. Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, California, http://www.neonmona.org/flash/index.html.
The Museum of Tolerance – You can’t visit Los Angeles without a peak at the most touching display of how far the world has come when it comes to racism and prejudice. The Museum of Tolerance is homage to racism around the world. Not in a negative way, but as a way to educate it’s over 300,000 visitors a year – including students and children. The Museum of Tolerance showcases a Holocaust Section, the Tolerance Center and an Artifacts Room, as well as the current running Summer Film Festival from the Center’s Moriah Films Division – all in the hopes to educate about tolerance and reach out with lessons on anti-bias and human rights issues.
