If you like the soft, soulful beats of reggae, mized with the bubbling of crystal clear water and sun beating down on your skin - then the Rising Music Festival should be on your vacation adgenda this coming August 3rd, 4th, 5th, 2007.

I first ventured to the festival 5 years ago. I continue to come back because, I not only did the music, it’s also the most idyllic 3-days I’ve ever spent on vacation. That might sound like a funny thing to say about a camping trip, but imagine renowned reggae artists collaborating on 100 acres that encompasses the laid-back Dimmick Ranch and the stunning vistas of the Eel River.

This reggae festival is the perfect mixture of family and community - everyone is welcome. Small children rock back and forth a top their parents shoulders, people dancing and singing everywhere as if all the world decided to lay down thier differences and say “we are brothers and sisters after all”!

The Reggae Rising festival unites each year in harmony, but this year the lineup is unsurpassed - including famous reggae artists such as Bob Marley’s sons Stephen, Damian and Ziggy, Richie Spice, the Abyssinians, Fantan Mojah, Sly & Robbie And The Taxi Gang With Horace Andy, Tanya Stephens, Ishi Dube, Steel Pulse, Freddie Mcgregor and many more.

For a full lineup or to purchase tickets online, visit www.reggaerising.com or call 707-923-4583.
