The Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Yuba City, California is hosting its sixth annual Brews, Blues & BBQ festival on Saturday, September 8, 2007. The event will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m at the Yuba Sutter Fairgrounds.

Summer is the perfect time for a barbecue: the skies are blue, the air is warm, and everyone seems to be in good spirits. Brews, Blues & BBQ will mix the best elements of your favorite barbecue pastimes to put on a very memorable event. As indicated by its name, the day’s festivities will include live music from the Shane Dwight Band and Mick Martin and the Blues Rockers. And as you’re rocking out to good music and making new friends, you’ll be chowing down on traditional BBQ fare like potato salad, spicy beans, BBQ tri-tip, bratwurst sandwiches, and a variety of micro-brewed beer.

Tickets for the barbecue cost $35 in advance or at the door, and proceeds go towards a very good cause: The Early Riser Kiwanis Club maintains a scholarship fund, awarded to area youth who prove themselves willing and able to improve themselves. BBQ profits will also be used towards the other community service cause in which the Kiwanis Club participates.

Furthermore, businesses may sponsor the event, a win-win situation as your sponsorship money will further help in the Kiwanis Club’s community service activities while offering you an excellent marketing opportunity.

Strap on you dancing shoes, bring a healthy appetite, and make some 2007 summer history at what promises to be one of the best event of the season.
